Entre grandes artistas da música black, o destaque vai para Drake, que lidera as indicações da premiação concorrendo com absurdas 13 indicações. Logo atrás, vem Big Sean com expressivas 12 indicações, e Kendrick Lamar e Nicki Minaj com 9.
